IRA B MARCUS received his law degree from Cornell University Law School, where he was a George L. Messerau Scholar and served as Resource Editor of the International Law Journal. He holds a B.S. in Physics, magna cum laude, from SUNY Albany where he was a member of Sigma Pi Sigma and Sigma Laudus honorary societies. He is a member of the New Jersey Bar. A frequent lecturer on leveraged buyouts, acquisitions, business financing, raising capital and organizing businesses, Mr. Marcus is an adjunct professor at Rutgers Law School where he teaches corporate finance. He also is active in the Business Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association, and chairs that Section’s Business Entities Committee. Mr. Marcus has over 30 years experience practicing in the areas of business acquisitions, dispositions and financing, real estate, corporate and commercial law, banking law and secured lending.
